An amazingly fast searching experience
Truecaller Progressive Web App
Users will find the name of the owner for the number they searched. They might also see there is an address attached, which is most likely the case if the person has added their address to their Truecaller profile, or if the number belongs to a business.

The Problem
Truecaller is big in emerging markets; in many of these countries access to the Internet is deficient and sometimes inexistent. It was vital for the team to optimize the website in a way where users could have the possibility of accessing the phonebook search engine using very little of their data and even being able to do so while offline.
Style Guide & UI Kit
I designed a set of essential UI components such as buttons, input fields, color palette, text styles among many others. This will facilitate the production of more intricate parts.
Also, will keep consistency throughout the whole website.
Reverse Number Lookup
The primary purpose of the website was to provide the user with a search engine that allows going through billions of phone numbers from all around the world. Such an effort requires high speed. With the new PWA, we manage to reduce the time of interactive from 2.1 to 1.6ms.

For people who didn’t know about Truecaller, it was a great surprise for them for when we looked up their number, and it gave the correct name. It was fun to see that reaction.

What are the Benefits
The website loads fast and consumes very little data. When accessing content such as search results or pages, it is stored in the user’s browser and becomes available instantly on repeat visits, even when the user is offline. On mobile devices, users can add the PWA icon to their home screen
and access it just like the regular app.
